The Shipra Express (Bangla:ইন্দোরে - হব্রাহ শিপ্রা এক্ষ্প্রেস্স , Urdu:حافظة شبرا إكسبرس ‎- اندر , Hindi: इंदौर - हावड़ा क्षिप्रा एक्सप्रेस ) (also pronounced as Chhippra Express) is a daily express train of Indian Railways, which runs between Indore Junction railway station of Indore, the largest city & commercial hub of Central Indian state Madhya Pradesh and Howrah, the commercial hub of Kolkata. The name 'Shipra' signifies the Shipra River, one of the holiest river of hindus near Indore City

Pantry Car

Despite of the hectic and unofficial halts of the train, it do not have a Pantry Car for serving the passengers with good food. There is a popular saying on the train "Lut gai up, bengal mein rail mantri, Shipra di gali vich no Pantry" meaning The railway minister is too busy for her political region trains to provide pantry car, but missed the Shipra express to get it in Pantry Car.

Rake maintenance & sharing

The train is maintained by the Indore Coaching Depot. The same rake is used for Indore - Nagpur Express and Indore - Pune Express for one way which is altered by the second rake on the other way.
